February 27, 2018: A Special Briefing for US Subsidiaries with Caleb Burns of Wiley Rein, LLP
Tuesday, February 27, 2018, 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM EDT
Category: Monthly Luncheons

You are cordially invited to attend
The first in a new three-part Legal & Compliance Education Series offered for free to NABPAC members and invited guests by Wiley Rein, LLP

This session will provide a critical refresher for participants on current laws and regulations governing the PACs and lobbyists of US subsidiaries of foreign corporations.  Participants also will receive information about pending legislation that could directly affect the rights of US subsidiaries to fully participate in the campaign finance system (e.g., H.R. 1615 - the ‘‘Get Foreign Money Out of U.S. Elections Act," and S. 1585 - the DISCLOSE Act), and require that lobbyists for the companies register under the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) (e.g., S 2039/HR 4170 - the “Disclosing Foreign Influence Act”).

11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
