SAIC is looking for a PAC Administrator / Legislative Research Assistant within the Corporate Government Affairs department. Responsibilities will include: Political Action Committee (PAC) responsibilities: • Manage the administration of the SAIC Voluntary Political Action Committee (VPAC) • Create, plan and implement the VPAC solicitation campaign • Ensure all VPAC activities are in compliance with applicable election laws • Manage disbursement of all PAC contributions in conjunction with office of the SAIC Treasurer • Establish annual budget for VPAC contributions in conjunction with the PAC Board; responsible for tracking budget • Represent the VPAC as needed before all levels of employees • Deliver PAC presentations to various eligible employees around the country and VPAC Board Members • Create and produce internal VPAC reports, newsletters and analyses • Plan and coordinate fundraising events for the VPAC; maintain tracking system for fundraising events • Plan and prepare for VPAC board meetings and VPAC receptions • Maintain data base of VPAC contributors • Update and maintain the VPAC website • Assume other responsibilities as requested in support of the office goals and objectives. Legislative Research responsibilities: • Provide legislative research and track legislation as required. Required Skills: • Minimum three years work-related experience as PAC administrator in a corporate government relations environment • Knowledge of and ability to apply federal requirements for political activity disclosure and reporting • Understanding of political and legislative processes • Effective research experience is required • Strong project management/coordination a must • Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to multitask independently and demonstrate sound judgment and decision making • Demonstrated analytical and organizational skills • Ability to work and contribute in a highly collaborative, team environment • Excellent working knowledge of computer databases, spreadsheets, and PowerPoint • Experience with VOCUS or other PAC database system • Ability to travel when needed. Education: BA/BS degree with a background in communication and/or political science preferred but comparable accomplishments in PAC administration and/or corporate government relations will be considered. Qualifications:B.A./B.S required; Minimum 5 years experience in state government as legislative/executive staff required. Appropriations and Health Care Committee experience desired; working knowledge of pharmacy issues, Medicaid and health care preferred; working understanding of the state legislative processes as well as strong oral and written communication skills. Outstanding attention to detail and follow-through; Ability to multitask varied legislative issues and meet extremely tight deadlines required. Experience working in corporate government affairs or an association with a focus on health, retail, or pharmacy desired. Willingness to travel over multiple days within the United States and Puerto Rico.

Qualifications: B.A./B.S required, JD or Master's degree desired; have a minimum of 10 years experience in federal government relations including a previous history that includes working on Capitol Hill for a minimum of 5 years; health care related committee experience is preferred; working knowledge of pharmacy issues, Medicaid, Medicare and health care; working understanding of the federal legislative processes, as well as strong oral and written communication skills; strong organization skills; ability to multitask varied legislative issues and meet extremely tight deadlines; outstanding attention to detail and follow-through; analytical and creative thinker, self-starter. 10-20% travel may be required.
