The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) is the nation’s largest small-business advocacy group. A nonprofit, nonpartisan organization founded in 1943, NFIB represents the consensus views of its members in Washington and all 50 state capitals. 


NFIB is seeking a Political Programs Coordinator to handle the candidate research process, draft PAC Board endorsement recommendations, coordinate campaign activity plans on behalf of pro-small business candidates, and assist with GOTV efforts. Also, will assist the project manager with organization-wide political communications projects and act as an additional point of contact for candidates.

 

The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree, plus two (2) or more years on a political campaign, trade association, Capitol Hill, or political/legislative advocacy work. Basic knowledge of industry-related technologies including social media, database management and familiarity with email and fax communication systems is required as well as working knowledge of the political and legislative process. Knowledge of current events in a political and legislative arena is essential. Professional, team player who possesses excellent time management skills and strong communication and research abilities.
